As a Provence wedding photographer, I document destination weddings across this remarkable region with an editorial eye and a calm, unobtrusive presence. My approach blends refined storytelling with a deep appreciation for architecture, landscape and atmosphere — elements that make weddings in Provence so visually distinctive.

From intimate celebrations in hilltop villages of the Luberon to multi-day château weddings near Avignon or Aix-en-Provence, every wedding here carries its own rhythm and sense of place. The warm Mediterranean light, centuries-old olive groves and timeless stone architecture create an atmosphere that feels both relaxed and effortlessly elegant.

My work focuses on capturing that atmosphere naturally.

Rather than staging moments, I observe the quiet interactions between people, the subtle gestures, the laughter during long dinners under plane trees and the soft evening light as the celebration moves from aperitif to candlelit dinner. These in-between moments often become the most meaningful photographs.

Over the past fifteen years I have photographed weddings internationally, working with couples who value aesthetics, thoughtful design and authentic storytelling. Many of the weddings I document in Provence are destination celebrations, where family and friends travel from around the world to spend several days together in extraordinary surroundings.

Because of this, I approach each wedding not simply as an event, but as a story unfolding over time — from welcome dinners and relaxed poolside gatherings to the wedding day itself.

Provence offers an incredible variety of wedding venues, from historic château estates and vineyard domaines to luxury countryside retreats and elegant boutique hotels. Whether the celebration takes place at a grand château, a secluded private estate or a charming village location, the goal remains the same: to create photographs that feel timeless, natural and deeply connected to the place.

Iconic Wedding Venues in Provence

Provence is home to some of the most atmospheric wedding venues in Europe — historic châteaux, elegant estates and secluded countryside retreats surrounded by vineyards, lavender fields and olive groves.

I’ve had the pleasure of photographing celebrations at Château de Massillan, a beautifully restored 16th-century château set within biodynamic vineyards, where historic architecture and Provençal landscapes create a relaxed yet refined setting for destination weddings.

Another remarkable location is Chateau de La Colle Noire, the former estate of Christian Dior. Surrounded by rolling hills and fragrant gardens, the property offers a uniquely elegant atmosphere for intimate celebrations in the South of France.

In the heart of the Luberon, I have also photographed celebrations at Comptoir Saint-Hilaire, a charming Provençal estate known for its warm stone architecture, peaceful countryside setting and beautifully relaxed ambiance — perfect for intimate destination weddings and multi-day gatherings with family and friends.

Across the region, couples are also drawn to iconic venues such as Château Martinay, the romantic Château Robernier, La Bastide de Marie in Menerbe, and the contemporary Provençal estate Domaine de Manville in the Alpilles.

Each venue offers its own atmosphere — from relaxed vineyard celebrations to refined multi-day château weddings under the warm southern French sky.
